It’s been an interesting start to the New Year. We’ve started to let Pied à Mer Plus be part of Yacht Suites. She’s getting rave reviews on Airbnb. Check her out if you’re in need of a Bay Area base for a few days or even a few weeks.
So far we’ve been up to the city twice with her this year. Once for no reason at all except to get a way for the weekend and the second time to go to see Finding Neverland at the Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco. It is such a treat to be able to hang out at the San Francisco Marina and Uber around town visiting the theater and favorite restaurants. I have to say the Harbor Master team at SF Marina are the greatest. You could not find a nicer, friendly, dog-treat hoarding group of people to meet you when you arrive.
Of the course dogs love being aboard and are getting quite adventurous. On the last trip the hung out in the cockpit and even wandered the decks while we were underway. The door in the transom and the swim deck make it very easy for them to climb aboard and off again.
Plan is to have my colleagues over next weekend for dinner and a evening cruise while we’re all working at the SHARE conference in San Jose.
Pied à Mer is still at Drake Marine getting her engine rebuilt. I hope she’ll be home soon. I am sad to have to sell her but she needs someone to love her and take good care of her. I am happy that she will be in a much better state than when I first met her. Decks and rails all redone. Upgrades to the heads, new sealed deep-cycle batteries, upgraded mattress, cabin lights and tons of other little things.
Going to miss her.
All for now.
I’ll be scanning the horizon for you.
